Chief Executive Officer

Nelson Amo

Nelson Amo (CEO) has experience in business development, grant management, business model innovation, growth planning and project management in the profit and non-profit sectors, leading projects in Accra, Berlin, Lusaka and Johannesburg.

He has an MSc. in Development Studies from LSE, with a special interest in Business Model Innovation at the bottom of the Pyramid, exploring the point of convergence between business and development, using business as a force for development. He also has a certificate in “Unlocking Finance for Emerging Markets and Developing Economies”, a World Bank course, as well as a certificate in “Startup Accelerators in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem”.

Dr. Rev. Joyce Rosalind Aryee

Dr. Rev. Joyce Rosalind Aryee is an accomplished management and communication consultant and a professional counsellor. Dr. Aryee has dedicated over 40 years to the private and public sectors.

She is the former CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and was also a non-cabinet minister at the National Commission for Democracy, where she served as Minister of Information, Education, and Local Government. Dr. Aryee is a Senior Mentor for the African Leadership Initiative and the Chairperson of the Moremi Initiative for Women in Leadership for African Development (MILEAD). She has served on the Boards of diverse organisations including Stanbic Bank, Central University College, Finatrade Foundation and The Ark Fund. She was given the Second Highest State Award, the Companion of the Order of the Volta in 2006. She was also the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), Marketing Woman of the Year for 2007 and the African Leadership Centre for Economic Development’s African Female Business Leader of the Year for 2009. She received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Mines and Technology in recognition of her immense contributions to the growth of the mining industry. Dr. Aryee is the Founder and Executive Director of Salt & Light Ministries, a Christian para-church organisation.


Sewu-Steve Tawia

Sewu-Steve Tawia is a financial professional with expertise in Private Equity, Capital Raising and Social Entrepreneurship. He has worked with AfDB, European Investment Fund, BNP Paribas, Capco and BearingPoint. He holds an MSc Finance from London Business School, MSc in Management from Audencia Business School and Stanford University Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurship.


Samuel Addo-Quaye

Samuel Addo-Quaye is a management consultant with expertise in Business Development and Strategic Management. He has worked with Stanbic, Fidelity, Stanchart Banks and HFC of HSBC (USA). He is the Executive Director of African Centre For Enterprise Development. Sam has an MBA in finance from Youngstown University, USA and is a Chartered Management Consultant (CMC).


Abena Asomaning-Antwi

Abena Asomaning-Antwi is a management and development consultant with expertise in new venture creation, results-based strategic management and planning. She is the Founder of Angel Zoe Foundation and a Board Member of the Blue Skies and GRATIS Foundations. She holds an MBA from University of Lincoln and pursuing a PhD. in Economics at the University of Lille.
